What We Believe

AT LIVING WORD CHAPEL...

...we base all of our beliefs on the authority of Scripture. In every way, we strive to maintain Biblical standards of living and leadership. We believe that living life according to God's Word is the way to a Dominion life.

The Bible

The Bible is Error-Free and therefore the basis of living our lives in a way that glorify God – Psalm 12:6; 19:7; Pro 30:5. All scripture is God-breathed – 2Tim 3:16; Hebrew 4:12

God

God Almighty is self-existent and doesn’t need us or anything else – Rev 4:11. He is Supreme, the Almighty and there is none to compare to Him – Isa 45:5; 44:6; 43:11.

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is God the Son; He was conceived by the Holy Spirit in the womb of virgin Mary; lived as the son of man that He might die, resurrect and ascend to redeem man from sin, death, curses, sickness, poverty – He is God – Phil 2:5-11.

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is God the Spirit. He is co-equal with God and Christ. Jesus couldn’t start His earthly ministry until the Holy Spirit baptized Him (Act 10:38) and when He was leaving He instructed us to wait until the Holy Spirit has come on us – Luke 24:49. He must be accorded His Supreme place if you want to see impact in your life – Acts 1:8; 1Cor 12.

The Trinity

The Trinity – God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Mat 28:19; 3:16-17. We see them operate in unison Gen 1:16-18, Mat 18:19.

The Devil

The Devil – He exists, settled. His goal is to destroy you and to deceive you that he is not the one. What you see is therefore not all there is to see. The fall was caused by the devil in the Garden – Gen 3. We are instructed to resist him (Jam 4:7). He is a deceiver – Rev 12:9.

Man

God created us in Gen 1. We are also made to serve the Lord. We didn’t make ourselves – Psalm 100:3.

Born Again Christian

Man must be Born Again. We must therefore repent of our sins and be born again – John 3; without which you remain in your sin and will ultimately perish in eternity away from God – Rev 12:18. But when you confess your sins, you are forgiven and cleansed – 1 John 1:9. This is what makes you a son of God, then you can do the good works for which He created you – Ephesians 2:10.
